“A Butterfly Dream?” is a storytelling project. Using physical installation and a projector, I tried to express the concept that "death is not the end, being forgotten is". Cardboard boxes are piled up as the project's main body for the physical part. In the different cardboard box rooms, I followed the storyline to build up suitable and dreamy scenes. Mirrors, fabric, beads, resin, cotton, and clay are used to enrich the setting. The installation's lighting and the video switch are controlled by the Arduino board and a touch sensor. When the audience touches the sensor, the video will switch to the next part, and the led light in the corresponding setting will turn on. Since the led light is weak, there is also an extra flashlight for the audience to explore more details in the inner part. For the video part, I drew every frame first, animated and add sound effects on them in Adobe Premiere
